Meet Our Founding Pastor
Eric & Erica met while serving in missions aboard the MV Caribbean Mercy with Mercy Ships in 1998. Erica is a Zeeland native, and Eric grew up in western Colorado and San Diego, California.
Our love for missions, youth ministry, and the church has been a part of us since we first met. In our early years, we came to love ministry with teens. Students are the best because they expect change to come, so they are always flexible and open to hearing God’s call on their lives and then making the challenging changes to obey. Over our life together in ministry, God has been so good and faithful. We loved our years in missions and our fourteen years in youth ministry, and this past decade of church planting has been transformative and exhilarating. The Foundry church was something God birthed in our hearts, and we desired to build a community that would be biblically faithful, relentless in missions, and focused on seeing people personally come to know the love of Jesus and be transformed into the image of Jesus.
